PONSONBY .SHAKESPEARE. The annual meeting of the Ponsonby ■Shakespeare and Illietorlc Club was held last evening at the Leys Institute. There was a large attendance of members. The balance-sheet lor last session "was adopted, showing a credit balance at the beginning of the session of £10 3/8; income £17 4/5.: expenditure, £20 7/5 (which included a number of accounts outstanding from mer sessions); balance atr end of session, £7 0/8. A constitution and rules were framed aud passed, and officers for the session were elected as follows: —President, Jlr H. Hemus; vice-presidents, Messrs T. U. Wells, E. T. Hart, and A. Coutts; secretary and treasurer, Mr J. H. Gregory; auditor, Mr P. H. Harris. It was resolved that the readings should be held fourweekly during the session now commencift2.
