FRENCH STRIKE FAILS.
i MEN RESTTME WORK. , NO CONCESSIONS GIVEN. ! . (Received 5.15 a.m.) PARIS, March 23. The strike in the French postal, telegraph and telephone departments has fnded, the men returning to work under former conditions. „ The strike ended largely owing to M. Clemenceau's emphatic refusal to discuss the resignation of M. Simyan, the Permanent Secretary to the Department, which was demanded by the men. The Premier emphasised the Government's conciliatory attitude, which enabled all to resume work without disjnissal if they returned forthwith.
