(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GORE, this day. Two severe earthquake shocks Were experienced here at 9.38 a.m., extending over about four seconds. The shocks were so violent that they sounded the town clock chimes, caused brick buildings to sway about in an alarming manner, and caused pedestrians in the No-license town to wonder what unaccustomed weakness had overtaken their legs. DUNEDIN, this day. A smart shock of earthquake was experienced at 9.55 a.m. to-day. There were two distinct waves, the direction being east to west. OAMABU, this day. A sharp shock of earthquake •was experienced at 9.30 this morning. . - - « INVERCARGILL, this day. An earthquake* of about five seconds' duration occurred at 9.40 a.nf. to-day.
