Harvest festival services were held on Sunday in St. John's Church, -North-cote, The church was beautifully decorated, and there was a fair supply of fruit and vegetables. Special hymns and psalms were sung, and appropriate sermons were preached by the Rev. W. G. Alonckton in the morning, and by the vicar (Rev. A. F. Smith) in the evening. The anthem, "Ye Shall Dwell in the Land," was excellently rendered by the choir, the soloiftte being Miss Isabel Hunt and Mr. C. Way. The church was crowded at each service.
