In the Paeroa Court yesterday, the Collector of Customs charged R. G. Lewis, hotelkeeper, of Waihou, with having knowingly withdrawn beer from an 18 gallon cask without first defacing the beer duty stamp. Defendant pleaded guilty and was fined £3 and costs, 12s.
