A MAGISTRATE'S ESCAPE
INDIAN ANARCHISTS' BOMB.
CALCUTTA, March 16.
A picric acid bomb has been discovered within a law book sent to Mr Kingsford when he was chief magistrate in Calcutta.
It was so arranged that upon cutting the string it exploded a detonator of fulminate of mercury. Mr Kingsford, who was the object of the Muzafferpore explosion oT May last year, did not open the book, believing it was one he had lent to a friend, until; the springs had rusted and rendered the explosives harmless.
It has been ascertained that the bomb found in the office of the "Englishman" newspaper yesterday was obtained from a Government factory.
