Mr Kwingtou alluded to the rise and "fall of empires in his lifetime, and the great changes now taking place iv Central Europe, but said 'that the social and industrial changes were as great and important as the political. He then Trent off to show the enuses of poverty, both national and artificial, aii<i urged various remedies, the principal being sane legislation and personal regeneration, heeacse, without a change in the human heart, eliminating selfishness, and ini'nsing a sense of accountability to a Supreme Being, neither employers nor employed would be so fair and Just to each other as to properly carry out the golden rule on which human welfare, depends. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Ewington. ST. PETER'S T.M.B.C.A. At a. special meeting of St. Peter's T.M.B.C. held yesterday morning, the new president of the class (the Uev' Robt. Ferguson) was welcomed by the leader on behalf of his fellow members and himself. There were 42 yonng men present, and after the. Rev. Fergueou had replied expressing his pleasure at. becoming president of St Peter's Clnss. which was known throughout the Dominion, a free and hearty discussion eiisned on the subject of "The Outsider." introduced by a tncy paper from a n>enn>er.
