The duplication of the tramline along ' the New North Road was discussed at a meeting of the Eden Terrace Road Board last night. The general manager of the Tramways Co. (Mr J. J. Walklate) was present at the invitation of the Board. The Chairman (Mr J. H. Garratt) stated to Mr Walklate that on nn estimate of £ 1000 for the work, the Board was prepared to consent to the work being carried out, conditionally upon the company paying £500 towards the cost, as well as removing the poles.
