AMUSEMENTS.
"WHEN KNIGHTS WERE BOLD." "When Knights were Bold" was repeated last evening at His Majesty's Theatre to a large audience, which appeared to thoroughly appreciate the grotesque lapse from the modern to the mediaeval, and back again to the latter day, as pourtrayed by Mr. Frank Thornton and his company. The quaint if somewhat exaggerated conceit of the piece certainly caught on, and those in whose hands its presentation lay received every manner of plauditory encouragement to persist towards th e successful finale. The delay noticeable •between acts at the opening performance appears to have been unavoidable; but it was overcome last evening, and the performance was over in good time. The ,same play will be staged this evening.
