EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

The 13th week of the second competition promoted by the North Island Egg-layin" Association, at Cambridge, concluded on Kriduy last. The following particulars are supplied by the secretary: The number of eggs laid during the week was 1538, an average of 23.30 per pen The total number of eggs laid since the lath of May is 12,294; an average of 186.27 per pen. lhe highest layings for the week were:— IJght breeds: "Walknto Independent," White Leghorns. 33; Harrison and Grafton.
