" LISTEN TO MY TALE OF WOE."
I have a pain, a cruel pain, Which makes mc groan and cry again; But where that pain is situated, Cannot be delicately stated. And, as I cry aloud and groan. With gnashing teeth and mournful moan, I hear the furniture start creaking, As if to imitate my ah riekin". Then on the window tears of rain Run down, as if it were in pain. They seem to mock mc! But who knows That they've not got rheumatic throes? And, now I think of it, I'm sure The window's crying for a cure; And, though it's got no teeth to'gnash, Its pane, like mine, is in its sash.
