Bagnall reported , at the meeting of the Education Board to-day that it was proposed to acquire » site of 3 acres 1 rood 16 perches in the Marshfield estate. The Minister for Education (lion. Geo; Fowlds), Mr. Bagnall said, had approved of the proposal to acquire this land, and had said that the Department would he prepared to pay half the cost. Mr. Bagnall had told the Minister that tha Board would expect more than that. ! Mr. Bagnall was strongly of opinion that this site should be acquired, and j moved that, the chairman should he ehv I powered to negotiate, with the owneri with a view to making mutual arrange; |men(s regarding the freehold of the site, jas a. primary step.
