THE AMERICAN FLEET.
Another meeting of the executive committee is being held this afternoon, When the chairmen of several of the suh-con-mittees will confer on details with .regard to the programme. The -executive is endeavouring tbxarrange with Admiral Sperxy (through, trie Consul-Geneial, Mr. W. A. Prickett) for a day to be fixed for a visit by the children of Auckland to the fleet. It is hoped that the children of the schools may thus be given an opportunity of visiting a battleship, and representations will be made to the Admiral to this end.
