AUSTRALASIAN SWIMMING TEAM. (Received 8.14 a.m.) LONDON, July 14. Reginald ("Snowy") Baker, F. E. Beaurepaire, F. W. Springfield and D. Tartakover have been chosen, after a trial race, to represent Australasia at the Olympic games in the swimming teams' championship of the world, E. J. Cooke being reserve man. THE WALKING CHAMPIONSHIPS (Received 12.17 p.m.) LONDON, July 14. Farmer and Webb, representatives of Britain, were first and second and A. Kerr, New Zealand, third in the 3500 metres walking match. Time, 14 mm 55 sees. A. E. N. Rowlands, the other New Zealand representative, was defeated in his heat.
