A special meeiing of the Boroush Council w.™ held on Monday night to inquire into ■certain insinuations of theft of timber made ag-alnst a person employed by the Conncil After a number of witnesses had been examined, general discussion ensued, and on the motion of Mr. Power, seconded by Mr ■E-vans, a .resolution was unanimously carried to the effect: "That the committee are of the opinion that Mr. Foster was fully Justifled In mentioning the matter to the engineer, as evidenced by the statement made by Mr. Graham, and that the person against -whom the allegations were made foe exonerated from any charge of dishonesty."
