AUCKLAND SUBURBAN POULTRY, PIGEON, AND CANARY ASSOCIATION.

" '■"" The 9th annual show of the above association was thrown open to the public yesterday afternoon, the opening ceremony being performed by the Mayor (Mr. A. M. Myers). In his address, Mr. Myers congratulated the association on their excellent show. - The committee were evidently leaving no stone unturned to make - the show attractive, and amongst the new departures were an' amateur judging competition which should prove popular and instructive. Special prizes were also being offered to. the public school pupils for essays on the show, and this should attract a large entry. The arrangements in connection with the show reflect great credit on the secretary and treasurer, Messrs. iauersall and Paterson. The annual dinner of the Association will be held in the Royal Albert Hall at 6.30 p.m. An invitation has been issued to the • members of the Veterans' Home to attend the show.
