Arthur Brown, £2-17/; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., v.. Kenueth Buyne (Marauopa), £15 17/3. Rent. —Elizabeth Wekwerth claimed from 'Rooert Dicksou the sum of 12/ for rent. Mr. Hacketc appeared lor plaintiff. . Atter hearing evidence ou both slues, judgment was given for plaintiff, with costs 7/. A ijisli Transaction. —Joseph Winter sued Green and Co. (Oceanic Fish Co.) lor _13 IS/ for fish suplied. Mr. Hackett appeared for plaintiff, aud Mr. Gregory for the defendant company. 'The plaintiff gave evidence as to the quantity of lish supplied, the defence being that the fish were bud. Lvidenee was given on defendant's behalf that the fish did not appear bad when .they Wire put into the smoker, but experts were frequently deceived in judging. The day after the fish were put in the smoker they were takeu out, found to be bad. aud thrown nway. Mr Kettle remarked that on the evidence, it did not appear that there was acceptance or certain of the fish which formed the subject of the dispute. The claim with respect to two of the parcels would be disallowed, and as regards the other two parcels judgment would be given for plaintiff for £4 S/ with costs.
