BRITAIN V. WELLINGTON.
TO-DAY'S MATCH. GROUND EN SOFT ORDER. A BIG ATTENDANCE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The weather for the football match today between Britain and Wellington promises to be fine. At 11 o'clock a light northerly wind was blowing, with heavy passing clouds. In any case the ground will be soft. The Wellington Rugby Union officials estimate the probable attendance at 15,000. Captain Harding has had to drop out of the English football team, in consequence of the injury to his leg, sustained in Saturday's match. In his absence Dr P. J. McEvedy, vice-captain, will captain the team, and two changes will be made in the forward division. The teams are as follow:— WELLINGTON. Fullback, G. Spencer (list 101b). Threequarters: A. Evenson (12st), F. Mitchinson (lOst 101b), H. D. Thomson (lOst 111b). Five-eighths: W. Wallace (list 121b), P. Roberts (12st 61b). Half: C. Green (9st 41b). At the time of telegraphing large crowds are flocking to the ground. The afternoon is practically a general holiday.
