PROPOSED TOURING TEAM. , (By Telegraph.—Own Corresponden£T,. WELLINGTON, this day. * Each of the speakers at last night's meeting of the New Zealand: Foot* ball Association referred in flattering terms to the foresight and tact .Mr. J. Richardson, of Auckland, had displaj'ed in the matter of the proposal for sending a New Zealand Association team on a tour of Great Britain. The general opinion favoured sending - a; team to play at Home against the amateurs, and those with a. knowledge of football in England submitted that a New Zealand combination could win a good proportion of games against such; elevens. Finally, the secretary was instructed to write to the governing body at Home asking what financial 'assistance it could give to a visiting New, Zealand team. He was also directed ta : write to the various associations in the Dominion, asking them to consider the question at an early date, and reply before the annual meeting, to be held in the course of a few weeks, when thf matter will be more fully coaridered.
