THE DENNISTON BALLOT.
UNION WITHDRAWS FROM ARBITRATION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WESTPORT, this day. The result of the ballot taken by the Denniston Coalminers' Industrial Union of Workers on Tuesoay night means that the Union will withdraw from the jurisdiction of the Arbitration Court. Of 360 votes recorded 140 were for the Arbitration Court, and 216 against; majority against arbitration 72.
