"THE APOTHEOSIS OF ZOLA."

(To the Editor.) Sir, —It was only this morning that I saw for the first time a long letter from Mr. Ernest Munton, attacking my recent article about Zola. I have read it through, and if I were in a fair state of health, I might take the trouble to answer Mr. Munton, for he is very amusing, and scolds mc liKe an angry woman. But, really, I don't care what Mr. Munton thinks, or says, or writes about my article or about mc. I never heard of him before, and shall not die of grief if I never hear of him again.— I am, K. H. BAKEWELL. Arthur-street, Onehunga, March 31st, 190 S.
