WELLINGTON COLLISION.

TRAM AND STEAM LORRY.

TWO PERSONS INJURED.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, this day. A serious accident occurred in Cour-tenay-place this morning, when a tram car and a steam lorry collided. The motorman (Frank Barton") was buried beneath the wreckage, and when extricated was found to be seriously injured. As soon as the vehicles were unlocked, the lorry bolted, as the result of steam not having been shut off, and ran on to the footpath, knocking down and injuring an onlooker named W. Young.
