AN ARISTOCRATIC CRIMINAL.
LORD W. IVEVILL RELEASED.
Lord William Nevill was released from Wormwood Scrubs Prison last month, having completed the sentence of twelve months' imprisonment which was passed upon him at Clerkenwell Sessions by Mr Wallace, the chairman, in April last. Lord William, was entitled to and received sixty days.' remission, in consequence of good] conduct.
Lord William Nevill was convicted of stealing £300 worth of jewels belonging to Messrs Miller and Fitch, of Sloane-square, with whom he iad pawned tiem. The prosecution alleged that at Lord William's invitation Mr Fitch attended at his home in Eaton-place and consolidated in one transaction tie various -pledges of Jewellerywhich he had made. The jewels were locked is a box, tied up, and the string sealed with tie KeviU arras. On the box being; opened after Mr Fitch's death, it was found t» contain nothing but two lumpß of coel.
