A SHABBILY DRESSED MAN* (By Telegraph.— rress Association.) WEHrfNGTON, this day. After a particular ease had been disposed of Mr. Smith remarked, ' "Well, the Superintendent of Police at Auckland told mc that I wouldn't l>e • able to find a shabbily dressed person in the Dominion, but I have seen one now." Mr. Smith, however, admitted that the man did certainly snot bear the appearance of being starved.
