Owing to the prevailing wet weather and the want of f nno<! our roads are in a most shocking state Daring the last few years we were dissatisfied at the little show our County Council «» making m oar roads, and wondering what it was dorng with our rates- so the settlers in the main and east districts petitioned to have a Road Board, which was granted; but,, as far as I can see so far there is "» ' m ; provement in .our 'roads. I understand that since the new Board was formed it has naa ■no help from the Government. Our local sawmill is in full swing °£* m - owing to the last' newel having brought down some logs which will keep it going for some time, i understand that Mr. Clay has secures another bush, in which work will soon be started. _ _.
