Two inter-union matches will be played to-morrow afternoon. The Auckland A fifteen will proceed to Waihi to play the Goldfields Union, leaving by the Paeroa steamer at o.bO p.m. to-day. Mr. C. Stichbury will act as manager. They return by the L3O p.m. steamer from Paeroa on Sunday. Following are the teams:—

WANGANUICHALLENGES AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, Thursday. The Wanganui Rugby Union to-night decided to challenge Auckland for the Ranfurly Shield.
PAEROA RUGBY UNION.
PAEROA, Thursday. At the weekly meeting of the Paeroa Rugby Union laet night, a letter was received from the Piako Union suggesting July 27 as the date of the Paeroa-B*ako match at Te Aroha. As a match had already been arranged for that date, it was decided to reply that the match could be played on the same day as the Gold-fields-Thames match, provided the Goldfields Union does hot object. It was decided to inform the Hamilton Union that the Paeroa-Hamflton match at Hamilton could take place on September 21 or 28. The West v. Suburbs junior match was arranged for July 27.
THE ASSOCIATION GAME.
