FIRE AT HAMILTON.
(By Telegrapo.—Own Correspotdont.) HAMILTON, this day. Ramsey's drapery shop, next to the Hamilton Hotel, was completely gutted by tire at 6.30 last night. No one was in the place at the time. The fire evidently broke out under the counter, and it had obtained a firm hold before the brigade arrived. They concentrated their efforts to prevent the flames spreading to adjoining premises, which taey suceceded in doing. The building was owned by Messrs. Green and Colebrook, and was insured for £375 in the United. The stock was insured for £700 in the Victoria.
