AUCKLAND ITEMS.

Among the items affecting Auckland in the estimates, are the following:— Auckland Steam Mail Services, £966; inland mails,. £9770; Rotorua Acelimitization District and Fish Hatchery, £500. An additional £15,146 is to be voted for the- Auckland section of the rail-ways, the total vote being £238,596. For the removal of logs in the Kaipara Harbour, £200 is voted, and for a beacon in the Kaipara Harbour, £ 120. The survey of the Whangarei foreshore receives a vote of £50, and on the wharf at Katikati, the subsidy is £100. The following votes also appear:—Piako Biver snagging, £-100; Buaknra Experimental- Farm, £5500, an increase of £200; Waerenga, £3500, a decrease of £1100; Auckland University College for Specialisation, in Mining and: Commerce, £2000; subsidy to the Door of Hope, Auckland, £100.
