NORTH ISLAND EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
The tenth week of the competition promoted by the North. Island Egg-laying Competition Association, Ltd.. at Cambridge, was concluded on Friday, 12th July, 1907. The following particulars are supplied by Mr A. B. Ttythall, secretary a_nd manager to the competition: — The number of eggs laid during the week was 1480. being an advance over any previous week of 144. Total number of eggs laid since Ist May is 8577. Highest laying for the week:—Tom Rathbone, Cambridge, white Leghorns, 31; B. J. Williamson, Hamilton, white Leghorns, 31; W. A. Nixon. Ladbrooks, white Leghorns, 29; Woodhonse and Maxriner, St. Helier's Bay. silver Wyandottes, 28; Mrs F. Bostock, Te Puke, brown Leghorns. 2S; Chamber of Commerce. Cambridge, black Orpingtons. 28: T. B. Brookes, Clarendon, Sonth Australia, white Leghorns. 28.
