Kidd, M.H.R.. were appointed delegates to represent the at a convened by the Harbours' Association of £ew Zealand. Wellington. Leave of absence was granted to Messrs .£.-J. Entrican and C. J. Parr. Morgue for Devonport.—The question of providing a sire for a morgue at Devonport was referred to the Committee. Water Police Accommodation.—The inspector of ponce wrote regarding- aecommo_ition for water police, pointing out that at present a sergeant and six constables were detailed for wharf and harbour duty, tut with the increase of wharves and foreshore year by year, a corresponding increase in staff must take place. The letter was re- , ferred to the committee. - Northcote Wharf.—The Waitemata County Conncil wrote urging the impott~—ice of certain improvements to Xorthcote Wharf, already authorised, stating that B—ing the recen-t heavy weather ferry steamers had been unable to touch at Sorthcote, and had to run on to Birken—ad, causing great inconvenience to passengers.
