CONDENSED CORRESPONDENCE.
•Ponsonby Enthusiast" complains that the rep hockey team for last Saturday's match was selected by two of the selectors only, and asks Where was the third?
'•Citizen" writes with reference to the Town Hall site that the best location would be at the corner of Wake-field-street and Upper Queen-street. The ether Grey-street site might, he suggests"; be sold and this one bought.
On the subject of tram-cars "Passenger" writes: I would like to inquire through your paper who is responsible for seeing that the riders of juries are carried out. Nearly a year ago a jury brought in a rider that electric bells should be placed in all cars. Well, so far they have been fitted in a few cars, but many are still without them and probably will remain so. Except in point of speed our cars (with a few exceptions) are a disgrace to the city, and the sooner the City Council take steps to compel the company to keep the cars clean the better. ■
