IMPORTS.

Per Silver Cloud, from Newcastle: 735 bags coke, 346 tons coal, 100 cases benzine, 100 bags naphtha. The scow Haere arrived at New P3yimouth yesterday from the Kaipara. The. barquentine Silver" Cloud .arrived from Newcastle last night after an un- . eventful trip. The s-s. Rippingham Grange sailed for the West Coast of England ports, "Via the South, this afternoon. The s.s. Tarawera left Gisborne at IO a-m. to-day, and should arriye at Auckland about the same hour to-morrow. The departure of the s_. Tarawera for the South on Saturday next has been -postponed from noon to midnight. The s.s. Fifeshire sails for West Coast of England ports direct at daylight to-mor-row. Avonmouth will be her first port of call in the Old' Country.

The scow Korora, which left Auckland on Friday last, sheltered at Russell from Sunday till this morning, when she con-tii--lied her voyage for MangonuL

The barque Onyx dropped down to an anchorage in the stream at 9 a-m. to-day in readiness to sail for Noumea. After oiacharging, ttie Onyx proceeds to Surprise 'Island to load guano for Auckland.

■ The s.s. lndra will be undoeked to-mor row morning, and the s.s. Kildaie takes her place. Both these vessels are bound from Valparaiso to Newcastle. H-M.s. Prometheus is -waiting to enter the dock after tne Kildaie.

The barquentine Selwyn Craig, which arrived from Newcastle last night, will berth at the railway wharf fhig afternoon to discharge, on completion of which she sails for Mercury Bay to load timber for Sydney.

The barquentine Selwyn Craig leaves for the Kaipara to-morrow, and after discharging at Dargaville, loads up with timber at Tatarariki for Melbourne. The vessel will probably load produce at the Victorian port for Anekland.

TEE RAKAIA

The New Zealand snipping Co.'s steamer Rakaia left for the South this afternoon to complete her discharge. Tne Rakaia returns to Auckland about the end bf this month to take in cargo for London, Bailing hence direct a few days later.

THE STAR OF JAPAN.

The Tyser steamer Star of Japan sailed Jit 7 a.m. to-day for Loudon direct, with a large general cargo of timber, etc. The Steamer is expected to complete the voyage in 42 days, being due at the Home port about August 21 next,
