It was a calm night, lor the damage would have been greater, ': as there were no lire preventives I available. The insurances are: J. Louj den, £100, in the Royal, on the smaller j building. The insurance on the main buildina is not ascertainable. Mr. A. J. Louden was insured for £ 100 in the >-ew Zealand, and had £10 in the Royal on stock and fittings. Mr. J. Louden was insured for £30 on stock in the I wheelwricht'? shop and £10 on tools !in the New Zealand: H. T.
