The Salvation Army self-denial week throughout Australasia netted £38,040, an increase of £1866 over last year's effort. A month's campaign in Sydney to raise £15,000 for extension work in connection with the V.M.C.A. has been successful, (he whole amount having been obtained. Durnan, the sculler, received an enthusiastic welcome from the aquatic comimunity in Sydney.
