A native named Kawhena, charged with carnally knowing a native girl named Marina, under ,16 years of age, has been committed for sentence to the Supreme Court, Auc_land, by Colonel Roberts, S.M., of Whakatane. The usual monthly meeting of the Auckland branch, of the Liberal and Labour Federation of New Zealand will be held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Cook-street, to-morrow (Wednesday) evening at eight o'clock.
