Hunter, and' Brigjjs.".■•..■• ■.-.''• ',' Fire Brigades' Mayor ' reported that the committee appointed (to go into fire brigade- matters had sent their report'on to,thfc brigade ior: its consideration. The Gorse Nuisance.—ln accordance with notice Of motion, Cr. Tapper moved "That gorse be declared a noxious-weed within the borough of -__r_el„".-■ Cr. Fowler seconded, and it -was unanimously carried. Water Consumption.—The Town > Clerk reported that the water... consumption for the past -fortnight had been 1,7_*5,000 gallons, 1,311,000 through the Ponsonhy.meter, and-417,000 through the Khyber meter. -.".'-. Finance.—Accounts totalling. £107/ 0/2 were passed for payment. sGibraltar Terrace.—A resident of.; Gibraltar terrace asked that .something be immediately done to .what he termed "that death trap" .leading down to: the Domain... There had, said the writer, been a great many accidents there, too numerous to "mention; and some of them very serious. Cr.: Briggs thought that attention should be-given to this street, and moved in that direction. The Council decided to see what, could be done to improve the street and-its- reputation.
