A meeting of members of the Walkato Hunt Club was held on Friday evening last, Mr Norman Banks (the-master) presiding. Ther chairman's action In arranging for several more hounds from Mr Selby, of Pakuranga hounds, conditionally that the Walkato • Club purchased some pups, was approved. Th« following officers were elected: —Mr' Norman Banks, master. Deputy-mas-ters: Hamilton and Whatawhata. Mr H. Worsp; Ohaupo, Te Awamutu, and KlhlIdhl, Mr W. Taylor; Matangi and Newstead, Mr R. Dodd; Cambridge, Mr Wyln-Brown. Hon. secretary, Mr C. C. Buckland. A suggestion that three meets each should he held at Hamilton and Tamahere was favourably received, and referred to the subcommittee. The master's action in arranging that the club should contribute £10 towards a fifteen-guinea cup for the best hunter at the Walkato Central A. and P. Show was It was decided that the neighbouring districts be written to and asked If they would guarantee £5 for each meet, and what the probable expenses would be. A deputation was also appointed to wait on the executive of the Walkato show and endeavour to get them to contribute more liberally towards the jumping events on the programme. WAIHI KACE3. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Saturday. The Waihi Jockey Club's races held here this afternoon were not Savoured with good weather, but there was a fairly good attendance, and the sum of £1343 10/ was put through the totalisators. The results of the later events were as follow; — Bullion Plate, 4 furlongs.—Fieramosca I, Alba Kose '2, Discoverer 3. Alba Rose led to the straight; then Fieramosca came with a fine run and won by a- head. A protest was entered against Fieramosca on the ground that the owner was ou the forfeit ■list If-the race Is awarded to Fieramosca the dividend will be £2 12/, and if Alba Rose is given the race the dividend will be 15/.Walhi Cup, li mile.—Bully, 8.4, 1; Agrapus, 7.5. a. Won. easily by two lengthsDividend, 13/. Hack Race, 7 furlongs.—Kruger ana SHvermere a dead heat, Seabohm 3. "Also started: Waihekau, Keepstep, No Brook. A great race between Kruger, Silvermare.' and Seabohm resulted Id a dead heat between the first two. Dividends: Kruger, 16/; Silvermere, 10/. Flying Handicap, 6 furlongs.—Fleramosca 1.
