MINERS' NARROW ESCAPE.

MELBOURNE, March 23.

Two men working at the 1000 ft level in the New Chum mine, Bendigo, to-day fell Bft. Their fall was broken by a ladder, and they escaped with slight injuries. One of them sustained dislocation of the shoulder, but some fallen timber under which he was pinned, -prawad the shoulder into plac* again.
