NEW YORK, February 7.
It is reported that the United Mine Workers.of America intend to begin their great strike on April 1. All the bituminous and anthracite fields will be affected, and practically the entire coal production will be stopped.
[Since the American production of coal is some 330 million tons (of which about 320 million tons is consumed locally), the gain to the United Kingdom during the strike should be considerable.]
