WAIHI CEMETERY.
ANGLICAN APPLICATION REFUSED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. A meeting of cemetery trustees was held last evening to consider an application by the Church of England officers lo set apart for exclusive use a portion of the Waihi Cemetery, and to admit of the consecration of the cemetery by Bishop Neligan. Ministers of other denominations were present by invitation. Considerable discussion took place. TEventually the trustees decided to reI fuse the application. It was stated that if such application was granted the | borough council would make no grant |to the trustees for maintenance, etc.
