TERRIBLE VOYAGE OF A LIFEBOAT. News has reached QueenstoTfn of the safe arrival at St. John, N. 8., from Salesnnd, Norway, of the lifeboat Uraad, after three months and cine days' encounter with the waves on the Atlantic. The boat was bound for New York, on its way to tbe St. Louis Exhibition to compete for a prize. During the passage she was fired on by a Norwegian fishing vessel in mistake for a whale, was nearly sunk by an ocean steamer off Belle Isle, was dismasted In a hurricane. and was five weeks drifting helplessly at the mercy of the- dements. She narrowly escaped being dashed ashore on tbe ledges of SL John during a blizzard. The crew of four men suffered great hardships. The vessel was built like a torpedo boat, with a glass conning tower.
