THE SCOTTISH CHURCHES.
Conference Without Result. LONDON, October 17. The conference between representatives of the Free Church and the United Free Church of Scotland has ended without result. The Free Church of Scotland has applied to the Court of Session at Edinburgh for the enforcement of the judgment of the House of Lords. The United Free Church has decided to contest the case inch by inch, and it is expected that many lawsuits will follow.
