FULLER'S ENTERTAINERS. The programme at the Opera House for this week k particularly interesting, and is made up hi the mo3t attractive way. The first part is one of the best that has been put on in this city, and the latter contains some remarkably good item.?. The Nawns r-hauged their sketch last rripht, substituting ''Shipuii'tes/' a delightful cornedirtta that held the attention and symapthy of the audience, while it caused endless b lighter by its comic situations. It is a particularly pretty sketch. There was another new turn that was received witli every demonstration of approval— that of the Musical Johnsons, who made their first appearance. They are three in number, and they are wonderfully clever in their playing on the xylophone, every contribution beiry encored They plaverl selections from "The Ituiiaway/Girl," "William Tell/ "Prince of Pilsen,' , and "Hiawatha:" The Johnstons are sure of an appreciative audience. Messrs Lynnc and Maseoy, serio artistes, also made their first appearance, and received a good reception. The other members of mc numerous company contributed to an excellent programme.

AUCKLAND BAND CONTEST

The favcmrite English opera, ' ; Maritana," will be performed at His Majes ty's Theatre on Ihursday next by Madame Lilian Tree and her conceit company as a complimentary benefit to the Auckland Band Contest The role of Maritana will be taken by Madame Tree, Miss Maude Tobias that of Lazariila; Mr. Walter Wliile, Don Caesar: Mr. Wilfred Manning, Don Jose; and Mr. Percy Lee, the King of Spain. Mr. T. E. Midgley, the w?llknown pianist, will preside at the piano, and Mr. X. Adama will conduct. llie choruses will be taken by the members of Madame Tree's operatic elioir of 50 trained voices. On the night of the performance Hunter's Band will meet at the Drill Shed, First Batlalion at the Ponsonby reservoir, and Impey'd Band at the top of Khyber Pass, and will from those gi/en points march to the theatre. By kind permission of Lieut.Colonel Davies, C.8., some of the volunteers will march with each separate band.' The concert is under the patronage of Hi? Worship the Mayor (Hon. E. Mitclielson), Lieut.-Golonel Davies. C.8., and Mr. H. Brett. The box plan is now open ac Wildman, Lyell, and Arey's, where the available space is being rapidly taken up. WRESTLING MATCH. Mr. W. S. Fagan has been mutually agreed upon as referee by the contestants (Pearce and Skinner) in the wrestling contest to-night at Hia Majesty's Theatre. ____—«»»
