AVONDALE HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
The annu.nl Show was opened in the pavilion of the racecourse at Avondale to-day. The entries are ahead of last year, and the exhibits include an especially magnificent show of vegetables. The fruit is not up to Avondale's usual standard, this being attributed to the tact that the season is earlier than usual, and the fruit has ripened off prematurely. Some of the fruit has been saved up for two or three weeks.[ A fine show of flowers comes from Avondale Asylum, Mr H. E. Sharp has as "g"gl an excellent exhibit of apples and pears.
