CRICKET.
: AUCKLAND V. WELLINGTON. The first interproviucial cricket match played here since the season 1899-1900 will commence on the Domain Cricket Ground to-morrow afternoon, when the Auckland and Wellington representatives will try conclusions. A considerable omount of interest is being taken in the frame, as the rivalry between Auckland and Wellington in the cricket field lias always been keen, and a very interesting match is expected. The Welteam which played at Hawke's Bay will be strengthened considerably for to-morrow's match, and the team chosen by Mr Ohlson to represent Auckland is looked upon as a representative one Play will start to-morrow afternoon at half-past two. No charge will be made _c;r admission to-morrow, and the Cricket Association cordially invite the public in witness the opening of the match. The match will be continued on Saturday and Monday, when admission will bo charged. The teams are as under: Wellington.—E. Upham, Quee, W. S. Redgrave. Brice, C. Gore, S. Hickson, C. Hickson, Ilutchings, Stephenson, A. Williams, Waters. Auckland.—D. Hay, I. Mills, W. Mills, N. B. Lusk, W. Stemson, H. B. Lusk, Schmoll, R. Mason, C Oliff, A. Sloman, E. MacCormick.
