DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.
The audience at the City Hall was well pleased last evening with the representation of the "Dandy Fifth," by Mr Irving Sayles and his troupe of "Military Ladies," in which the cleverness of the manoeuvres and excellent gun practice were keenly appreciated. The music was well supplied. Mr Ernest Fitts, Miss Belle Ray. Miss Maud Fanning, and Miss May Lewis obtained good receptions. Miss Lizzie Kirk, comedienne, reappears to-night, in addition to Mr Frank Leon, comedian and dancer, and Gallando, whose clay modelling is well worth a visit before he departs for America.
Among the attractions for Coronation night is a concert by Kershaw, the illusionist, and company, in the Federal Hall.
Tne ping-pong tournament in aid of the Mission of the Good Sheoherd, which is to be held in the Choral Hall on Thursday evening, promises to be a great success, judging from the number of the tickets sold. Three prize? for ladies and three for gentlemen have been presented for competition.
