BOAT BUILDING.

Messrs Bailey and Lowe launched from the ' yards,. Customs-street West, this week, a shallow draught centre board round bilge boat, named Kotu, and built to the^ order of Messrs Trimble, ■ Henriekson and Fairborn. She is ketch rigged, and has a smart appearance- In the water. She is of the following dimensions: Length, 43ft overall; breadth, 14ft; and depth 4ft 3in. A trial spin has been held, and proved satisfactory, the boat showing that she is possessed of a er-Mt turn of speed. In addition to craft previously noticed, the keel of a 72ft ketch, to carry TStons of cargo, was laid to-day.

Mr C. Bailey, jun., has well underway a auft oil launch, and has also on the stocky a 22ft half deck yacht for Messrs Wilson Bros., of Cox's Creek.
