Wind: Strong from between north-east and north and north-west at all places in the North Island; moderate to stron« north to east and south-east winds in South Island. Barometer: Fall everywhere. Sea: Considerable on all western coast also on east coast northwards of Last SSe and south from Cape Campbell; moderate everywhere else. Rain is probable in all parts of the col ony.
