AUSTRALIAN SWIMMERS.

WELLINGTON, Sunday.

The Australian champion swimmers gave an exhibition at the swimming sports yesterday. They also competed in the invitation race, in which M. Champion, of Wellington also swam. The result was a dead heat between Lane, Cavill and M. Champion, the 100 yards being' cohered in (52 4-osec. Champion won the interclub 100 yards race.

WANGANUI, Sunday,

Messrs Cavill, Read, and Lane, the New South Wales swimmers, who are to compete at the Australasian Championship Swimming Meeting, to be held here this week, will be publicly welcomed on their arrival here.
