HAUEAKI MINES LIMITED,
The manager reports for the past three weeks. "No. 3 stope has been advanced. 6 ft., No. 4 stope 17 ft. A stope has been carried along 10 ft. over the drive from the winze below the No. 3 level, but as the operations conducted' here did not meet with the success anticipated, the men were removed and set to |ta,rt No. 5 stope above the intermediate level— this has been carried along 9 ft. Gold has been seen in all the faces in progress, but nothing to be classed as picked stone. The tributer.-s are rising upon the Cross leader above the No. 2 level. The leader continues to keep small but occasionally produces nice blotches of gold."
